Daniel Pearlson has more than 25 years executive management expertise in technical manufacturing and service operations, research and development, highly integrated automation technologies, and mass merchandising. His executive management experience includes both private and public companies.
Mr. Pearlson is the founder, President and CEO of several successful enterprises. Most recently, his company Votan Research Corp developed advanced technologies for law enforcement and military applications licensed to the Raytheon Company. He has developed hardened high-power solid-state servers for applications aboard military aircraft and other vehicles; produced national security infrastructures in South Africa; and developed nuclear energy security systems in the United States, and in Asia under the auspices of the US Defense Trade Directorate. He served as the Chief Technology Officer for remote data telemetry in support of the US Department of Homeland Security’s highly successful Operation Golden Phoenix 2010 (OGP) exercise in Los Angeles; which simulated the detonation of a nuclear weapon in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. The project involved virtually every public safety government entity in the region and every branch of the Department of Defense, the US Coast Guard, the FBI, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Laurence Livermore National Laboratory, and the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
Mr. Pearlson also founded Sequent Technologies, Inc. and took the company public on the NASDAQ in 2003 where he developed the first cellular live video streaming systems, vast scale visual information systems, and was selected as the sole source developer of a US Air Force Video Telemetry System.
He served as the Vice President of Research and Development and acting Chief Technology Officer of Youbet.com (NASDAQ:UBET) where he developed live video services and contributed to building the world's highest traffic live IP unicast video subscription service; and served as the Executive Director of the Advanced Research Institute in Los Angeles where he invented and developed the first live television-quality Internet video streaming systems for distance education.
His company, Krell Telecom & Technologies, was a leader in the video teleconferencing industry and a Strategic Partner of AT&T as well as a Joint Marketing Partner of Teleport Communications Group in Los Angeles.
He’s served as a consultant to NASA Dryden Flight Research Center; to the City of Los Angeles Department of Telecommunications; the County of Los Angeles Department of Workplace Programs; and as the Advanced Technology Team Leader for TeleLearning to the Department of Continuing Education of the California State University at Los Angeles.
Mr. Pearlson was the keynote speaker for the annual conference of the Society of Business, Industry, and Economics in 2016; is a 1997 recipient of an honorary doctorate from West Coast University in recognition of his body or work including his ground-breaking invention and development of television-quality live Internet video streaming systems and other technologies that have transformed national Internet infrastructure; and is a recipient of the US Jaycees’ Outstanding Young Man of America award in recognition of his marketing expertise in brand management and mass-marketing of consumer products.
